Small Handmade Pear-Shaped Teapot (100ml) Crafted entirely by hand, this teapot is made from a rare 1970s Da Hong Pao clay sourced from a small coal mine in Yixing City, at the border of Rentu and Hongwei villages. This interlayer tender clay, rich in iron oxide, has a shrinkage rate of approximately 45–55%.
When freshly mined, Da Hong Pao clay is yellowish but transforms into a stunning crimson red after firing. Its vibrant color, fine texture, and elegant wrinkles exude unparalleled sophistication.
With years of expertise in crafting zhuni teapots, Master Yang has meticulously perfected this masterpiece, culminating in the exceptional "Shi Piao" teapot before you. Its remarkable craftsmanship and timeless beauty make it a true collector's gem.
